کتاب خارجی The Essential Art of African Textiles | In January 2008 the Metropolitan Museum put on exhibition its first acquired contemporary African sculpture, Between Earth and Heaven by El Anatsui. The artist himself directed its installation in the Michael C. Rockefeller Wing, which houses the arts of Africa, Oceania, and the Americas. Since then another of Anatsui’s expansive creations has entered the Museum, this one joining the permanent collection of modern and contemporary art-and thus emphasizing on the international stage his standing as one of Africa’s leading artists.
